NHVAS

K&S Transport operate under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) that ensues all vehicles and staff in accordance with stringent standards defined by the industry regulator. NHVAS is a formal process for recognizing operators who have robust safety and other management systems in place. This ensures our vehicles are compliant with duty requirements under road transport law.

K&S Transport vehicles and staff are accredited to operate under NHVAS in the following areas:

  • Maintenance Management. Ensuring our fleet is safe and reliable and serviced in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mass Management. Ensuring what we carry is safe, balanced and reduces wear and tear on our road systems.
  • Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and Fatigue Management: Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM). Ensuring the welfare and safety of our drivers and the safety of other road users.

NHVAS is managed on a national basis by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), and all scheme participants are subject to regular audits for adherence to scheme rules. Operating in accordance with these regulations ensures that K&S Transport vehicles and drivers operate in a safe manner, for the general public, our customers and for our staff.
